Our inaugural project was a light-filled office space, thoughtfully designed to meet our aspirations. Let us introduce you to the place where our creativity runs wild — our own studio.
The design of our studio interiors was an exercise in building identity through spatial arrangement. We knew that the strength of the space was its natural light and that we wanted a place to work, create, learn and meet — be it with friends, clients, business partners or fellow designers and architects — so we kept the spatial divisions to a minimum. With this in mind, we reconfigured the existing space. It had too many partitions and we wanted to keep it as wide and unobstructed as possible. The only element built was a curved white wall to accommodate the service area (kitchnet, bathroom and storage), making the office entrance wider and more inviting.
For those moments when we need to segment the space to control the acoustics or provide privacy during meetings, we have implemented a curtain rail system that allows us to create fluid transitions and reorganise the space in different ways. This solution lets us experience our office as a space of freedom rather than one of restriction.
All of the furniture in the studio has been designed by us — using American ash, water-jet cut aluminium and marble. The aim was to meet our aesthetic requirements while ensuring versatility and functionality. These clean yet solid furniture pieces are a reflection of IMCOLLECTIVE's creative process: a combination of beauty, experimentation and adaptation.
